FTU Love Bug

This tutorial was written by me and is from my own ideas.
Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
This tutorial is for Personal Use only.

FYI:: This is my first tut so bear with me.

♥Supplies I Used♥
♥PSP (Any version should do. I use 10)
♥ Scrap kit I used is FTU called Love Bug by Gimptastic Scraps and you can get it HERE.
♥ Mask of choice. I used AR315_CMC_mask119 by Aqua on the Creative Misfits blog and you can get it HERE. It's the one in the preview.
♥ Font of choice. I used Cupid de Locke.

♥Let's Start♥

1. Open a new canvas with transparency checked and make it 440 x 440 (I make all my tags Cafemom size so you may want to make your canvas larger.)

2. Open your Frame4.png and resize to 60%.
Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.

3. Open Bear2.png.
Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move this layer under your frame layer and change the opacity to 85.

4. Open Paper5.jpg. I resized mine to 440 x 440.
Image> Resize> 440 x 440
And I added transparency.
Image> Palette> Set Palette Transparency> Okay>
Set the transparency value to the current background color> Okay.
Move your paper under your frame layer, use your free select tool and make a circle over your frame.
Selections> Invert
Select your paper layer and hit delete on your keyboard.

5. Open Bear4.png.
Image> Resize to 70%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Image> Mirror and place it on the bottom right of your frame or wherever you
think it looks best for your tag.

6. Open Flower2.png.
Image> Resize to 52%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Rotate counter clockwise a tad bit until you like where it is and move it in front of the Bear4.png.

7. Open Letter.png.
Image> Resize to 60%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Place it over the flower stem and bear like mine.
Erase the stem that sticks out under the letter.

8. Open Heart2.png.
Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move this layer until it's under your paper layer. (Should be the last layer)

9. Open Dots.png.
Image> Resize to 52%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move this layer under your paper layer, but above the Hearts2.png layer.

10. Open Flower1.png.
Image> Resize to 60%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move this layer all the way to the top and position where you see fit.
I put mine on the left side of the frame.
Duplicate twice.
I moved them to the sides of the other flower and rotated each in the opposite direction.
Erase the stems.

11. Open WA.png.
Image> Resize to 85%. Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move to the bottom left of the frame.
Erase any of the stems showing under the wordart.

12. Open your mask.
Since my canvas is 440 x 440, I'm going to resize my mask to 440 x 440.
New Raster Layer. Move it below your mask and flood fill it with your color choice.
I used #bc2629 (red).
Right click on your flood filled layer> New Mask Layer> From Image> Source Luminace.
Invert Mask Data unchecked.
Delete top mask layer. Right click> Merge Group.

13. To get the effect I have on my mask, you will need Pentacom  Dot and Cross.
Duplicate your mask layer. Effects> Plugins> Pentacom> Dot and Cross with these settings:
Edit> Copy. Edit> Paste As New Layer.
Move to the very bottom and center behind your frame.

14. Drop shadow everything EXCEPT Bear1.png and Paper5.jpg.
Effects> 3D Effects> Drop Shadow
These are the settings I used:;

15. Add your tag line and copyright info if you used a tube and save as .png.
Be sure to also save as .pspimage so you can edit it anytime or add other names.

That's it!
I hope you like your new tag!

I'd love to see anything made with my tuts so please feel free to send me an email

A Fresh Start

EDIT:: I was going to retire my other blogs but instead, I've decided to make this my tutorial blog. I thought about how much time and work I put into my other site and I just can't let it go.
So this is where you will be able to find all my tuts for Gimp and PSPx.

I know I've had a few blogs now but I've been trying to get comfortable in where I post everything.
I've tried Blogger under Priscilla Ashley Creations and I've tried Weebly under CakiePotPie Designs.
I couldn't get used to Blogger which is why I switched and I didn't like the name of my old blog either. I like Weebly but there's no way for anyone to follow or even subscribe to my blog and I don't like that so I have decided to come back to Blogger under CakiePotPie Designs and this is where I will stay.
Phew!!! Lol.
I will make sure to put links to my other blogs here somewhere so you can still get whatever you want from there until I get everything moved over here. Just be sure to follow the TOU.
Thanks for understanding!
